12 Miles from Daylight by Fort Stanton Cave Study Project

 Product Description

BRAND NEW - 17 Chapters starting with Native Americans, soldiers exploring from Fort Stanton in the 1870's, and many first person stories from over 15 authors.

It is 12 miles from the entrance of the cave to the end of Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management property.  The cave continues further however, it is on private land and they have to get permission to continue on.  The Fort Stanton Cave Study Project has mapped over 40 miles of the cave,  They have not found an exit to the cave - so they have to come out the same way they went in.   There are many colored  pictures in the book showing work that the Cave Study Project has done and showing the unusual rock formations they have found.

Oh yes, check out the 12 x 26 inch fold-out map showing the path of the cave! Pictures abound on almost every page with geological and historical findings!

Researched and written by the Fort Stanton Cave Study Project. Signed by most of the Authors!
